Nigel is a UK-based contemporary artist who uses an exciting range of visual approaches to in his art. He views his art as an opportunity to experience the world, both through momentary human occurrences as well as a way of trying to making sense his environment.

Nigel grew up in Bridgwater, Somerset, England, where a yearly historic carnival takes place. As a boy, each year he stood with his family on a cold November night mesmerised by the colourful, energetic and vibrant parade of carnival floats, with the heat coming from their brightly lit bulbs, and the dancing and singing characters.

The carnival's human and mechanical energy indelibly left a mark on his impressionable mind, soaking up the bright lights, exciting music and the energetic movement of the painted and costumed characters. These experiences have subsequently manifested themselves in his beautifully diverse approach to art.
